Pizza Crust Dough

Now there is an easy way to make homemade pizza whenever the craving strikes! Being in quarantine has urged us to become more creative with what we can make with what we have in our cupboards. Voila! Pizza anytime my husband craves it. Well, not ANYTIME, because then it would be pizza every day! But you get the idea. 😉

  • 1/2 tsp honey

  • 1 c warm water

  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast

  • 1/2 tsp olive oil

  • 3/4 tsp salt

  • 2 1/2 c flour

  • herbs de Provence

  • garlic

  • onion flakes

  • olive oil


  • In a mixing bowl, add the honey
  • pour in warm water and whisk to dissolve honey
  • sprinkle in the yeast and wait 5 minutes for the yeast to puff up
  • pour in olive oil, salt, and 1 c flour and mix
  • gradually add in the rest of the flour and seasonings as you mix, until the dough is no longer sticky
  • add olive oil to an empty bowl, about 1 tablespoon
  • place the dough in the bowl and coat the bowl with the oil, using the dough
  • cover and let rise for 1 hour
  • roll the dough out onto a greased pan, stretching it to the edges
  • add any toppings
  • bake at 425 degrees for about 25-30 minutes


  • Seasonings are optional and up to the chef to determine how much is needed. Feel free to experiment with your own seasonings or even a stuffed crust!
