Homemade Buns

Eat now and freeze some for later before they are all gone! These buns will turn out soft and delicious and the perfect recipe for burgers on the grill. Make them small for sliders, or large for some beefy burgers. They are sure to be a hit for all the bread lovers out there!

Homemade with love and ready to go in under an hour! This is the perfect recipe for just having bread around the house, or for some impromptu hamburgers on the grill!

Ingredients

  • 2 Tblsp Active Dry Yeast

  • 1 cup + 2 Tblsp Warm Water (Warm, but not hot!)

  • ⅓ cup Liquid Coconut Oil

  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar

  • 1 Large Egg (Room Temperature)

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 3 – 4 cups Unbleached White Flour

  • 2 Tblsp Herbs de Provence

Directions

  • In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in the warm water
  • Add in oil and sugar and let sit for 5 minutes
  • Add the egg, salt, Herbs de Provence, and add the flour a little at a time until it forms a non sticky dough
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 3-5 minutes, adding more flour if dough is still sticky
  • Separate dough into the size buns you want – 12 for smaller buns. 6-8 for full hamburger sized buns
  • Place balls of dough on a greased pan about 2 inches apart, cover, and let sit for 10 minutes
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F
  • Bake until golden brown, about 12-15 minutes
  • If desired, brush with melted butter and add sesame seeds or onion flakes to the top
