These cookies are sweet and tasty, perfect for dessert or with your morning coffee.


  • 3/4 cup butter, softened

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/3 cup molasses

  • 2 1/4 cup flour

  • 2 tsp baking soda

  • 3/4 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp ginger powder


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Combine butter and brown sugar in a mixer or bowl
  • Add egg and molasses and continue to mix
  • Add in dry ingredients until all is mixed well
  • Roll into balls and place on a parchment lined baking sheet
    *Option to roll balls in white sugar prior to baking*
  • Bake in oven for 9-11 minutes
  • Let cool and keep in sealed container to maintain freshness and softness!
